The Zoll AED Plus is unique in using “off the shelf” batteries, however, it is very important that the correct batteries are used, the defibrillator will not function correctly with any 123 type batteries.

The Zoll AED Plus defibrillator uses the Duracell 123 type batteries, however, Zoll very clearly state that they must be the USA made Duracell 123 batteries and not the Chinese made Duracell 123 batteries. Here at Turtle we only manufacture and sell quality products and will only supply the USA made Duracell 123 batteries. Whilst these are more expensive, Zoll specify these for their device and we will not risk the cheaper alternative of the Chinese made version.
Historically, Duracell placed a blue band on the batteries to denote that they are made in the USA.
They no longer do this, instead, on the batteries it is clearly written either "made in the USA" or "made in China".
A full set of 10 Duracell Lithium Ion Batteries (Type 123) as required for the Zoll AED Plus (semi-auto or fully auto defibrillator)
- 4-5 year expected lifespan
- Must be replaced all in one go
- Replace as soon as the defibrillator shows signs of low battery or the batteries reach 5 years old (whichever comes first)
It is very important the correct type and make of battery is used for the Zoll AED Plus Defibrillator - cheaper batteries will not work and may result in damage to the defibrillator. We only supply USA manufactured, Duracell batteries as specified by Zoll and supplied with the device as new. All 10 batteries must be replaced at the same time.
