The insulated cabinet provides limited protection to defibrillators, meaning they can be placed where there is no power. During colder spells some management is required to protect the defibrillator.

As all defibrillators have a limited range of safe operating and standby temperatures, we always recommend a heated defibrillator cabinet, however, we recognise this may not always be possible. For circumstances where power is unavailable or heating is unnecessary (for example sheltered areas or summer rentals) we offer the AWC004-ins, an insulated cabinet with no heating or power requirements.
This cabinet has been deployed in fisheries, forestry areas, remote hiking trails, and other off-grid locations—providing life-saving equipment where it’s needed most.

Care Tips for Unheated Cabinets
Check the defibrillator regularly, especially in winter.
Use the manufacturer-provided protective jacket to help insulate the device.
Monitor battery performance—batteries may drain faster in colder conditions.
Extreme cold? If temperatures drop significantly, consider temporarily storing the defibrillator indoors and notifying your local ambulance service of its availability.
