In the nine years since Daniel Baird died there has been a huge shift in how we view, understand and treat catastrophic bleeds in public spaces. We consider the progress that has been made and what still needs to be done to ensure every location is 'rescue ready' when it comes to critical bleeds.
Duston Parish Council has installed DefibTrack across its network of seven publicly accessible defibrillators, giving the community added peace of mind that these life-saving devices can be located quickly if they’re deployed and made immediately rescue ready again.
In December 2025, Coventry Business Improvement District (BID) launched a campaign to find a missing defibrillator. Turtle Medical saw the news story and offered to loan an AED that would be the first to be installed with the company’s brand new DefibTrack technology. Now Coventry BID has instaled the tracking system to it's fleet of AEDs.
